If you own a boat or yacht in Croatia and you don’t live here, Croatian law requires you to appoint a registered agent. This is a legal requirement, not an optional service. The appointment itself is done entirely online, wherever you are.
SeaBox has provided this service since 2013.
SeaBox also provides administrative assistance — support with paperwork, deadlines, and official procedures along the way.
We receive, archive, and forward all official correspondence for your vessel — administrative notices, tax invoices, even court documents. You stay informed no matter where you are.
We work with boat and yacht owners across Europe and beyond, including:
- Vessels already registered in Croatia
- First-time registration
- A change of registered agent after a change of ownership
The registered agent appointment is completed entirely online. For vessel registration, you can either submit the paperwork in person, or send us the original documents and we’ll deliver them to the Kapetanija on your behalf. We also help you gather the right documentation, arrange translations where needed, and guide you through the whole process.
A registered agent can be given broad authority to act on your behalf — not only to receive mail, but in some cases to represent you in official matters. Choosing the wrong agent is a real risk to your vessel and your legal standing in Croatia.
SeaBox works within a clear, limited scope: we handle your correspondence with care and transparency, and nothing beyond that. You always know exactly what we do and don’t do on your behalf.
